Don Reese

Don Reese

Don Reese (Austin, TX) founded Riverside Resources, a real estate investment firm, in 1990. The firm provides a concentrated focus on high-yield commercial real estate investments, predominately in the Central Texas area. Riverside Resource’s investment transactions have totaled over $200 million, with acquisitions or new construction of over 1.3 million square feet and tenant finish-out of over 750 thousand square feet to accommodate new leases in conjunction with those acquisitions and developments. Property types include office, industrial, multi-family, retail, mixed-use land development, and residential subdivision lot development. Riverside provides property management services for all portfolio held assets as well as a limited number of third party assets. 

Prior to founding Riverside Resources, from 1982-1990 Don was president and partner in an Austin-based real estate company that developed and/or owned over 2.6 million square feet of commercial space and 3600 acres of land. Don started his career as an attorney from 1979-1982 with the Austin law firm of Clark, Thomas, Winters & Shapiro.

Don is a member of the national, state, and local bar associations. He has also been active in various civic and professional organizations including currently or previously serving as an Executive Council member of The University of Texas Real Estate Finance and Investment Center, Director of the Real Estate Council of Austin, President and Director of the Austin Longhorn Club, Advisory Council and Executive Committee of the UT Longhorn Foundation, Advisory Council of The University of Texas College of Communication, member of The University of Texas Chancellor’s Council, President’s Associates, Littlefield Society, and Hermes Society, Director and Life Member of the UT Ex Students Association, and Director of Capital National Bank in Austin (now Wells Fargo Bank).

Don has also devoted time to youth and church activities including current or previous service as director and coach at both West Austin Youth Association and Western Hills Little League, President of the Westlake High School Booster Club, director of the former Austin Children’s Cancer Center, and the Ministry of Challenge.

Don received a B.B.A. (with Highest Honors) in 1976 and a J.D. in 1979 from The University of Texas. He is a licensed attorney and was a certified public accountant. He resides in Austin with his wife Gina. Their son, daughter and son-in-law also live in Austin.
