Career Advising Services

Career advising sessions provide an opportunity to visit with a professional career advisor and discuss career-related topics ranging from resumes, cover letters and interviewing skills, to the job or internship search, job offer evaluation, graduate school and general career exploration.

Career advising sessions can last anywhere from 15 minutes to one hour and are tailored to meet your specific needs and priorities. Career advising is available to CCS registrants only.

CCS offers two types of career advising services: Career Advising by Appointment and Drop-In Career Advising.

Advising By Appointment

To schedule a one-on-one appointment with a CCS career advisor, stop by our offices in CMA 3.102 or call us at 512-471-9421. Advising sessions are typically last 30-60 minutes. Sessions are available year-round by appointment only.

Drop-In Advising

Drop-in advising is available during the fall and spring semesters, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2:00 - 4:00 pm on a first-come, first-served basis. Drop-in advising appointments are limited to 15 minutes.
