CareerSource: On-line Employer Services
CCS uses an online system called CareerSource to manage our job and internship postings, on-campus interviewing program, and resumé referral services. CareerSource provides employers the ability to post jobs and internships directly to the College and maintain these postings, conduct searches on the CCS resumé database and download resumés, and manage the pre-screening and selection of candidates for on-campus interviewing. CareerSource is password protected. To set up a CareerSource employer account with CCS, please go to the Employer Login Page and click on the “Click Here to Register” link. Job & Internship Postings in the College of Communication Only
To post a job or internship opportunity to the College of Communication, you will need to create an employer account in our online system – CareerSource. To set up an employer account, go to CareerSource employer registration or contact our recruiting services coordinator via phone at 512-471-9421 or via email at ccsrecruit@austin.utexas.edu. Your CareerSource employer account will allow you to post job and internship opportunities, recruit on-campus, and conduct your own resume referral searches in UT College of Communication.
Campus-wide Job & Internship Postings via AccessUT
You may submit job and internship opportunities free of charge for campus-wide distribution via AccessUT, a web-based posting and resumé referral service unique to the University of Texas at Austin. Jobs and internships posted on AccessUT can be searched and viewed by UT students and alumni in all colleges and departments. You can reach AccessUT via the CCS web site, or directly at http://accessut.utexas.edu.
Resumé Referral Service
CCS offers employers two methods for accessing candidate resumés: Continuous Access via a CareerSource Employer Account and One-Time Requests for resumés to fill specific hiring needs. On-Campus Interviewing
CCS has a dedicated recruiting coordinator ready to assist you in scheduling an on-campus interviewing visit. Because the process of coordinating and promoting an on-campus interviewing visit is very time intensive, we strongly recommend a lead-time of between four and six weeks. You will have the option to “pre-screen” students (closed schedule) or allow “open sign-up” (open schedule). Our recruiting coordinator can help you determine the best approach for meeting your recruiting needs. Communication Job & Internship Fairs
CCS hosts a Communication Job & Internship fair each semester. These communication-specific fairs provide excellent opportunities to meet job and internship candidates, publicize your organization, and network with students and alumni of the university. You may also combine recruiting via Job and Internship Fairs with on-campus interviewing and get the benefit of both services at the same time. The next Communication Job & Internship Fair is scheduled for Thursday, April 10, 2007.
