How CCS helps your student

The UT College of Communication offers a wide range of career services specifically tailored to communication students; more, in fact, than any other college of communication in the country. From career advising services, career exploration programs and job and internship search assistance, to job and internship listings, on-campus interviewing opportunities and career fairs, Communication Career Services offers your son/daughter a wealth of resources. We have a detailed overview of our student and alumni services online.

Recruiting Services

Each year, 50-60 employers come to campus to recruit students from the College of Communication for internship and job opportunities. These employers typically represent large corporations and retailers seeking sales and management trainees; advertising and public relations firms and newspapers seeking entry-level employees and interns; non-profit organizations seeking interns and contract professionals; and consulting firms seeking entry-level analysts.

In general, entertainment industry companies, broadcast media, government agencies, and small to mid-sized businesses do not recruit on campus to fill vacancies, though many do post job and internship opportunities and request candidate resumes through CCS and via AccessUT.
