Speech and Hearing Center
The University of Texas at Austin Speech and Hearing Center provides services to individuals with communication problems and serves as a training site for students in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Participation
The Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Participation was established at The University of Texas at Austin in 2000 to respond to growing political cynicism and disaffection in the United States. The goals of the institute are Annette Strauss (1) to conduct cutting-edge research on the ways in which civic participation and community understanding are undermined or sustained, and (2) to develop new programs for increasing democratic understanding among citizens.

Explore UT
The University of Texas at Austin is hosts the annual Explore UT, a day of events, performances, exhibits, lectures and hands-on activities for the entire family. We offer you a glimpse into world-class museums, extensive library collections, numerous performance venues and cultural centers on a historic urban campus.
East Austin Stories
The documentaries on this site are the result of collaborations between East Austinites and University of Texas filmmakers. At the end of each semester, we hold free, public screenings in places like Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. These screenings give filmmakers, storytellers, and neighbors a chance to hear and enjoyed each other’s stories, to get to know each other, and to learn.
Employers
Whether you simply wish to post internship and or job opportunities, recruit on-campus, schedule an employer information session or attend a job and internship fair, Communication Career Services (CCS) offers a variety of tools and resources available to assist employers wishing to connect with UT communication students. An overview of CCS employer services is available online. If you wish to recruit candidates from across the UT campus and/or target candidates from other UT colleges, information on other UT employer career services is available on the HireTexas web site.
Career Fairs
Communication Career Services (CCS) hosts two communication job and internship fairs each year; one during the fall semester and one during the spring semester. The next fair is scheduled for October 28, 2009. Employers can register for the Fall 2009 Communication Job and Internship Fair online. Learn more about Career Fairs.

Summer Camps
The College of Communication hosts a number of summer camps for interested individuals.
Graduate Employment Data
Each year Communication Career Services (CCS) conducts an employment survey of new alumni approximately six months after they graduate. CCS also conducts a follow up employment survey five years after graduate. Detailed reports (college-wide and by major) are available in the CCS offices and can be downloaded from the Employment Data section of the CCS website.
Intellectual Entrepreneurship Consortium
Sponsored by and part of the portfolio of the Vice President for Diversity and Community Engagement (DDCE), Intellectual Entrepreneurship (IE) is an inter-collegial Consortium whose mission is to educate "citizen-scholars"-- individuals who creatively utilize their intellectual capital as a lever for social good. Generating collaborations between the academy and society, IE initiatives pertain to the undergraduate experience, graduate study, faculty research and the connections between the university and community.
