About Student Affairs
The Office of Student Affairs oversees all academic advising in the college, in collaboration with the academic departments. Our staff maintains your academic records, provides general information about University academic policies and procedures, prepares your degree audit and will certify your graduation application once you have fulfilled the requirements. In addition, we manage course adds/drop requests and withdrawals, course substitutions, tuition rebates, appeals, scholastic probation and many other academic matters.
Our academic advisors can also counsel you on personal difficulties should they arise, and direct you to other important campus and community resources that will enhance your overall learning experience at The University of Texas at Austin.
The Office of Student Affairs also coordinates special student-related programs and services including recruitment, prospective student information sessions, Parent's Day, Honors Day, New Student Orientation, First-Year Interest Groups, Honors Colloquium and Commencement.
