Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is a new exchange partner for the College of Communication. NTU is based in Singapore and is ranked among the world's top 100 universities by the Times Higher Education-QS World University Rankings 2008.The University specializes in science and engineering subjects with a strong focus on research and innovation.
The College of Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences is home to the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, a top journalism and media school in Asia and Singapore's first professional art school offering degrees in art, design and interactive digital media.

Eligibility
Applicants should have successfully completed a minimum of 60 credit hours and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 at the time of application. This program is restricted to students in the College of Communication.
Courses and Credit
English is the teaching language at NTU. As an exchange student, you are expected to focus mainly on communication course work but can take courses in any one of their 12 schools, which are organized under four colleges: College of Engineering, College of Science, College of Business (Nanyang Business School), and College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences.
Courses of interest to students in the College of Communication include digital animation, digital filmmaking, interactive media, photography and digital imaging, product design, digital communication, print journalism, online information services, media management, radio, television and multimedia production, broadcast journalism, public relations, advertising, marketing, media effects on audiences, cross cultural communication, international media policy, and organizational communication. Exchange students can take courses subject to availability and completion of prerequisites or by faculty approval.

Accommodations
Accommodations are available on and off campus. Upon acceptance, students can apply for on campus housing or off campus housing. On campus housing will be in one of 16 residence halls based on double occupancy. An off campus housing list can be requested from the NTU Student Affairs office. Students would be responsible for making their own housing arrangements, which are usually room rentals or shared student apartments. Students at NTU enjoy a wide range of amenities.

Apply
1. Attend an information session, and/or contact a study abroad advisor (see below) with your EID to request access to the online application;
2. Before you apply, please review NTU’s information for prospective exchange students. Please note that you will be required to complete a separate application for NTU immediately upon acceptance to the program; it would be helpful for you to become familiar with the requirements and begin preparing that application in advance of applying for admission.
3. Begin preparing the UT application, request recommendations (these are also done online), learn about financial aid and scholarship options;
4. Discuss plans with your academic advisor and financial aid counselor;
5. Complete the online application by the deadline.
Note: A student pass is required to participate in this program. Students who are considering applying to this program for spring 2010 should have a valid passport in hand, in order to allow sufficient time for processing entry requirement documentation.
